Quartzgrip Anti Slip Stair Nosing

The Quartzgrip™ range of Fibreglass Anti-Slip Stair Nosing, or Stair Capping Profiles are manufactured from corrosion resistant Glass Reinforced Plastic (Fibreglass) and have been designed for easy installation onto existing Concrete, Timber or Steel Steps.

A hard-wearing Silicon Carbide Grit is bonded to the top surface to provide an effective ANTI SLIP finish, which outperforms conventional alluminium or Rubber Stair Nosing in terms of Slip Resistance. This durable nosing provides an effective anti slip surface to the most vulnerable area the step. The Highly Visible colour of our Stair Nosing, provides an effective contrast to the background, and highlights the leading edge of the step. This is particularly beneficial in low light areas, and can assist visually impaired pedestrians, thereby aiding conformance with DDA Legislation.

Surface:
After researching many forms of grit, Smyth Composites elected to use Fused Alumina due to its superior qualities and suitability for the anti-slip applications. Other types such as Bauxite or Quartz are available by special order. The Fused Alumina is available in a variety of grades:

Ultra-Fine (Barefoot), Fine, Medium, Coarse, Ultra-Coarse
